Tiny Farmers ages 2-5 bring your parent

to this fun & educational mini session!

Tiny Farmers will create unforgettable memories as they explore farm life through hands-on experiences.

Details:

  • Ages: 2 to 5 years old.

  • Location: Craven Farm.

  • Duration: Each session lasts approximately 2 hours.

Farmer for a Day

Join us for a hoe-down of fun at Craven Farm’s Gardening Session! Perfect for tiny tots ages 2 to 5 years old and their parents, this event is sure to be a rootin'-tootin' good time.

 

Here’s what we have in store:

  • EXPLORE & HARVEST: Little sprouts will dig into the joys of gardening, harvesting fresh produce and learning how things grow.

  • CRAFTS: Get creative with garden-themed crafts that will plant seeds of imagination.

  • FARM GAMES: Our farm games are berry fun and guaranteed to produce giggles and smiles!

  • GIANT JUMP PAD: Let your kids hop like bunnies on our giant jump pad – it's bound to be a jumping good time!

  • BUBBLE BAR: Pop over to our bubble bar to end the day with some bubbly fun – it’s simply un-bubble-lievable!

$40 Child + Parent

$20 per Additional Sibling (up to 3 addt'l)

Farmer for a Day

Moo-ve over city life, it's time for a barnyard adventure as a Farmer for the Day at Craven Farm! Our animal session is udderly fantastic for little ones, ages 2-5.

 

Here’s what we have planned:

  • ANIMAL INTRO TIME: Meet our farm animals and get the scoop on their daily lives – it’s a quack-tastic experience!

  • STEM PROJECT: Dive into a farm-themed STEM project that will have your kids thinking outside the henhouse.

  • CRAFT PROJECT: Create something baa-rilliant with an animal-themed craft project to take home.

  • HELP TAKE CARE OF THE ANIMALS: Show your kiddos the ropes with a hands-on animal care session – it’s a farm-tastic way to learn responsibility.

  • GIANT JUMP PAD: Let your kids hop like bunnies on our giant jump pad – it's bound to be a jumping good time!

  • BUBBLE BAR: Finish the day on a high note with our bubble bar – it’s bubbling with fun and laughter!

Frequently Asked Questions

Farmer for a Day

- Can I drop my child off? For these sessions, each child must have an adult present with them for the entire session. One adult can bring up to four of their children ages 2-5. 

What should we wear? Please check the weather each day and come dressed appropriately for working and playing outdoors. Closed toed shoes and socks are a must. Dress in layers as we will be outside for the whole session, weather permitting. We suggest hats as well. Bring a rain jacket & boots if the weather looks "if-y". e a must.

- What about snack?Tiny Farmers & Parents are responsible for bringing their own snack and water bottle each session.

- Can I get help if I don’t know how to do something?

- What are the facilities like at camp?

We are a working farm. Tiny Farmers and Parents will be working outdoors near animal stalls, in the fields, and in the children’s garden. On severe weather days, Tiny Farmers and Parents will remain under cover as much as possible. We have several Porta Potties and a handwashing/sanitation station located near the Kid’s Patch.

- Does Craven Farm offer financial assistance?

At this time, financial assistance is not available.

 

- What happens in the case of a cancellation?

Camp is held rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, where it is not safe to operate, families will be notified.

- Do you offer Refunds?

We do not offer refunds within 30 days of first day of session purchased. Craven Farm reserves the right to dismiss a camper whose conduct or influence, in the opinion of Craven Farm, is unsatisfactory or in the opinion of Craven Farm is not in the best interest of the camp. In such an event, there shall be no refund of any part of the camp fee. ​

 

- Can parents/guardians, siblings, or other family members get involved in Craven Farm Camp or Farmer for a Day?

- What is the difference between Farmer for a Day & Summer Camp?

While “Farmer for a Day” kiddos do not receive a camp T-shirt, they will follow a modified schedule similar to Farm Camp.

 

- Can I register for more than one session?

Absolutely! Although our schedule and many activities remain the same each session, campers will may be exposed to different learning opportunities to keep Farmer for a Day ffun and exciting.

 

- Do you have a waitlist?

For the safety of all Farmer for a Day participants, spaces are limited. Reserve your spot today! We do offer a waitlist just in case the session you'd like is full.

 

- What about bugs? We will be working outdoors with all of nature’s creatures. You can bring bug spray and keep it inside your backpack. Certain bugs are a part of farm life and important to our crops.

Things to know before you start...

Registration

FARMER FOR A DAY - By purchasing a “Farmer for a Day” session, you are consenting to the following:

​CONDITIONS OF ENROLLMENT

I agree and/or acknowledge that:

 

​1. My child(ren) and I will abide by the rules and regulations set forth by Craven Farm, hereafter referred to as CF, for the health, safety, and welfare of the Farmers for a Day, hereafter referred to as FFAD. FFAD must be at least 2 years old at the start of their session, and accompanied by a parent. CF reserves the right to dismiss a FFAD and their parent whose conduct or influence, in the opinion of CF, is unsatisfactory or in the opinion of CF is not in the best interest of the FFAD. In such an event, THERE SHALL BE NO REFUND of any part of the camp fee. CF reserves the right to refuse acceptance. Any damages to CF property, staff property or other FFAD’s property as a result of my child’s and/or parents’ actions are my financial responsibility. If my child or I breaks or damages something beyond normal wear, I will pay for it.

 

2. CF is not responsible for articles of clothing or personal belongings lost or damaged by fire, theft, laundry, etc. (No valuable jewelry, tech devices such as cell phones, computer or handheld devices, iPads or MP3 players at FFAD.) Please be sure to label all your belongings with your child's name.

 

3. In case of emergency, I hereby give permission to CF to hospitalize and to treat my child and/or myself as necessary. I understand that all expenses not covered by my health insurance are my sole responsibility.

10. Any picture, recording, video footage, any images moving or still and/or writings will belong to CF and may be used for advertising and promotion.

4. If any action is brought based upon this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to their reasonable attorney’s fees.

5. PLEASE NOTE: FFAD activities involve a certain amount of risk, and parents need to be aware of this kind of exposure. Parents are required to read the following statement carefully and initial. Please call us if you have any questions. ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY...I AM AWARE THAT CERTAIN ACTIVITIES ARE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS. I CONSENT TO MY CHILD’S PARTICIPATION IN THESE ACTIVITIES WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGERS INVOLVED AND I ACCEPT ALL RISKS OF INJURY TO MY CHILD. FURTHER I HEREBY RELEASE AND AGREE TO INDEMNIFY CF, ITS PRINCIPALS, AGENTS AND EMPLOYEES FROM ALL LIABILITY THAT I OR MY CHILD MAY HAVE FOR INJURY RESULTING FROM MY CHILD’S PARTICIPATION IN SUCH ACTIVITIES.

6. DISPUTE RESOLUTION: This agreement and any claim arising out of or related to it, shall be governed by and construed under Washington State law. The parties further agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Washington State courts, and to bring any claim in Washington State.

Parent/legal guardian and CF agree that any claims arising out of or related to this agreement shall be determined by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its commercial arbitration rules, such arbitration to be held in Washington State and governed by the substantive law of Washington State, and further agree that judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

7. WASHINGTON STATE AGRITOURISM NOTICE: RCW.4.24.835 “Warning. Under Washington state law, there is limited liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if such an injury or death results exclusively from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among others, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death. We are required to ensure that in any activity involving minor children, only age-appropriate access to activities, equipment, and animals is permitted. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS IN GENERAL AND SPECIFICALLY, THAT IT IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT BETWEEN ME AND CF AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL. 

PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE CONSENT

By purchasing this session, I agree to give permission for my child's/children's photo/image and/or name, and myself, to be published on Craven Farm's social media sites. I allow Craven Farm to use my child's photo on various Craven Farm social media sites.
