We cannot wait to share all things "farmy" with your kiddos this summer in our

NEW Farm Camp for 6-11 year olds!

 

Campers will create unforgettable memories as they explore farm life through hands-on experiences.

Sessions

Starting July 8th

SESSION DETAILS:

 

- Choose from various Sessions 

- Monday - Thursday

- 9am - 1pm 

- Ages 6 - 11

- Bring your own lunch/snack

 

Each session will be similar in format with slight variations from one week to the next so there is always something new to learn if your child attends multiple sessions. 

 

Enjoy a "Show and Tell" day on the last day of camp with all the farm campers.

PRICING:

$325 per Farm Camper

$300 per Additional Sibling

$300 per Additional Session

- A minimum of 10 campers must be registered for each session. If there are not enough, refund will be given in this situation.

- Can I get help if I don’t know how to do something?

We are here to help! Please contact Craven Farm at 360-568-2601 or send an email toHello@cravenfarm.com.

 

- Is it safe for kids to be at the farm?

Craven Farm takes every measure to ensure the safety and well-being of all campers.Our counselor to camper ratio is 1:10. Campers are never left alone and alwaysescorted with a buddy and staff member if there is ever a need to leave the group. OurStaff Leads are CPR/First Aid certified.

 

- What are the facilities like at camp?

We are a working farm. Campers will be working outdoors near animal stalls, in thefields, and in the children’s garden. On severe weather days, campers will remain insideour Story Barn. We have several Porta Potties and a handwashing/sanitation stationlocated near the Kid’s Patch.

 

- What if my child has specific medications they need to take during camp?

Complete the “Authorization to Dispense Medicine” Form located inside the registration forms. All staff members will be made aware of any special needs. Camp Leads will dispense medicine to your child. Children requiring special needs will be labeled with a red cross on their sleeve.

 

- What should my kid bring to camp?

Campers will need to bring a sack lunch, snack, water bottle, hat, backpack and already applied sunscreen to camp each day. Staff members are not responsible for applying sunscreen to campers. Rainy days will require boots and raincoats. Please check the weather each day and have your camper dressed appropriately for working outdoors. Closed-toe shoes are a must.

 

- What will my kid be doing at camp? Do you follow a specific curriculum?

Each day at Farm Camp is a learning day! Our schedule consists of working with animals, gardening and harvesting, exploring and working in the fields, an educational lesson, crafts and farm games. Campers will also participate in educational STEM & Science lessons during their week at camp.

 

- Can my child request to be in the same group with their friends?

While we do our best to accommodate special requests, please keep in mind that our carefully planned activities and educational lessons are age-appropriate to keep the interest of all campers. Please fill out the Sibling/Cousin/Close Friend Group Together section in the registration

 

- Does Craven Farm offer financial assistance?

At this time, financial assistance is not available.

 

- What happens in the case of a cancellation?

Camp is held rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, where it is not safe to operate, families will be notified.

- Do you offer Refunds?

We do not offer refunds within 30 days of first day of session purchased. Craven Farm reserves the right to dismiss a camper whose conduct or influence, in the opinion of Craven Farm , is unsatisfactory or in the opinion of Craven Farm is not in the best interest of the camp. In such an event, there shall be no refund of any part of the camp fee. 

- Can we take a tour?

We offer “Open Farm Day” on the Thursday from 11am – 1pm of your camper’s session. During this time, you will be able to join your child for their lunch, take a hayride and tour the Kid’s Patch. We know your camper will be delighted to have you join us and show you everything they have learned!

 

- Can parents/guardians, siblings, or other family members get involved in Craven Farm Camp?

We are so happy you asked! Please contact The Camp Director for volunteer opportunities.

 

- What is the difference between Farmer for a Day & Summer Camp?

While “Farmer for a Day” kiddos do not receive a camp T-shirt, they will follow the same schedule and be provided with the same learning opportunities as Summer Camp.

 

- Can I register for more than one week?

Absolutely! Although our schedule and many activities remain the same each week, campers will always be exposed to different learning opportunities to keep camp fun and exciting.

 

- Do you have a waitlist?

For the safety of all campers, spaces are limited. Reserve your spot today! We do offer a waitlist just in case the session you'd like is full.

Camper

- What about bugs?
We will be working outdoors with all of nature’s creatures. You can bring bug spray and keep it inside your backpack. Certain bugs are a part of farm life and important to our crops. We will learn about the positive and negative effects certain bugs/insects have in our environment.


- Can I get help if I don’t know how to do something?
Yes! Your camp counselor and all staff members are here to help and support you each day at camp to make this a fun experience. Do not be afraid to ask when you are unsure of something!


- Can I call home?
If there is an emergency or you forgot something at home, a staff member will reach out to your family. Campers are not allowed to bring phones/smart watches.

- Can I bring a toy?
Please leave your toys, electronics and special trinkets at home. We will be moving quickly through different stations each day. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.


- What about lunch?
Campers are responsible for bringing their own lunch, snack and water bottle each day.

- Are there any animals on the farm?
Yes! You will have the opportunity to spend time with our goats, pigs, turkeys, rabbit and chickens during your time at camp.

Things to know before you start...

Registration

Registration Forms are required for each Camper. At Checkout please be prepared to fill this out with camper/guardian/emergency contact info, Health Insurance and Medical information. You will also need to consent to the following:

AUTHORIZED PICK-UP LIST

The people listed below have my authorization to pick up my child from CF Farm Camp. I will inform the CF Farm Camp staff each time a special pick up is necessary and is different from the name written at drop-off. I understand that my child will only be released to individuals listed below, if I am unavailable. I also realize that they will be required to provide proper identification each time that they arrive. If an individual is not listed on this form, a telephone call WILL NOT be sufficient to release the child to that individual.

CONDITIONS OF ENROLLMENT

I agree and/or acknowledge that:

1. My child will abide by the rules and regulations set forth by Craven Farm, hereafter referred to as CF, for the health, safety, and welfare of the campers. Campers must be at least 6 years old at the start of their session, and fully potty trained with the ability to be fully self-sufficient with all bathroom needs. CF reserves the right to dismiss a camper whose conduct or influence, in the opinion of CF, is unsatisfactory or in the opinion of CF is not in the best interest of the camp. In such an event, THERE SHALL BE NO REFUND of any part of the camp fee. CF reserves the right to refuse acceptance. Any damages to CF property, staff property or other campers’ property as a result of my child’s actions are my financial responsibility. If my child breaks or damages something beyond normal wear, I will pay for it.

2. It is understood that the parent/guardians of campers enrolling in CF Farm Camp, are obligated to inform the camp AT THE TIME OF THIS APPLICATION, of any physical, psychological, emotional, or behavioral problems, difficulties or challenges the child has whether requiring professional treatment or not which could potentially have a negative effect on his/her camp experience or which might potentially have a negative effect on other campers’ camp experience.

3. Information about our Refund Policy can be found on our website under Farm Camp FAQ'S.

4. Campers must bring a snack and sack lunch. Refrigeration/Heating is NOT provided. We also ask that nothing containing nuts be brought into the camp.

5. For your child’s safety, a parent or guardian must come to the designated Farm Camp check in spot (see attachment in confirmation email) at the beginning and end of every camp session, and the parent/guardian must show a photo ID at pick-up. Picking up or dropping off children at the parking lot is not allowed. If someone other than the parent or guardian is to pick-up the child, written permission must be turned into the staff. Children must be dropped off and picked up on time.

6. Farm Camp hours are from 9 AM - 1 PM. Drop off will begin at 8:45 AM. Failure to pick up your child at 1pm will result in a $25 per every 15 minutes late fee payable when you pick-up your child.

 

7. CF is not responsible for articles of clothing or personal belongings lost or damaged by fire, theft, laundry, etc. (No valuable jewelry, tech devices such as cell phones, computer or handheld devices, iPads or MP3 players at camp.) Please be sure to label all your belongings with your child's name.

 

8. Campers should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. No flip-flops or CROCS will be allowed.

 

9. In case of emergency, I hereby give permission to CF to hospitalize and to treat my child as necessary. I understand that all expenses not covered by my health insurance are my sole responsibility.

 

10. Any picture, recording, video footage, any images moving or still and/or writings will belong to CF and may be used for advertising and promotion.

 

11. If any action is brought based upon this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to their reasonable attorney’s fees.

 

12. PLEASE NOTE: The management of CF will always conduct their camp program with the highest level of supervision and trained personnel. However, camp activities involve a certain amount of risk, and parents need to be aware of this kind of exposure. Parents are required to read the following statement carefully and initial. Please call us if you have any questions.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY...I AM AWARE THAT CERTAIN CAMP ACTIVITIES ARE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS. I CONSENT TO MY CHILD’S PARTICIPATION IN THESE ACTIVITIES WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGERS INVOLVED AND I ACCEPT ALL RISKS OF INJURY TO MY CHILD. FURTHER I HEREBY RELEASE AND AGREE TO INDEMNIFY CF, ITS PRINCIPALS, AGENTS AND EMPLOYEES FROM ALL LIABILITY THAT I OR MY CHILD MAY HAVE FOR INJURY RESULTING FROM MY CHILD’S PARTICIPATION IN SUCH ACTIVITIES.

 

13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION: This agreement and any claim arising out of or related to it, shall be governed by and construed under Washington State law. The parties further agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Washington State courts, and to bring any claim in Washington State.

Parent/legal guardian and CF agree that any claims arising out of or related to this agreement shall be determined by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its commercial arbitration rules, such arbitration to be held in Washington State and governed by the substantive law of Washington State, and further agree that judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

 

14. WASHINGTON STATE AGRITOURISM NOTICE: RCW.4.24.835 “Warning. Under Washington state law, there is limited liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if such an injury or death results exclusively from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among others, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death. We are required to ensure that in any activity involving minor children, only age-appropriate access to activities, equipment, and animals is permitted. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.

 

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS IN GENERAL AND SPECIFICALLY, THAT IT IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT BETWEEN ME AND CF AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL. 

 

PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE CONSENT

This photo release consent form is to both inform you and to request permission for your child's/children's photo/image and/or name to be published on Craven Farm's social media sites. Initial below to allow Craven Farm to use your child's photo on various Craven Farm social media sites.
