Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the maximum number that can be accommodated? Our facility can accommodate 125 for an indoor function. In the summer months with the barn doors open the gathering can be raised to 300+.
2. What is the rental fee? Our fee for a summer Saturday wedding is $2,400. for full day event.
3. For how many hours? You have the use of the barn from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
4. Are there over time charges? Yes. each additional hour is $125.00
5. What is included? Barn, lawn, grounds surrounding barn, picnic tables, parking, dressing rooms, kitchen area.
6. Will there be other events on the same day? We book only one event a day.
7. Are table and chairs included? No, but we do have them for rent. Please ask to see our rental list.
8. Are there certain days of the week when the price is discounted? Yes, mid-week can be rented at an hourly rate. With a minimum for 10 hours. for $1,800.
9. If the event is in the garden can it be tented? Yes!
10. Can things be moved around to decorate as we need it or do we have to leave as is? You can move and set up to your needs, we just ask you put things back.
11. Is there a security deposit? and when is it returned? Yes, there is a security/damage deposit of $500.00. It will be returned within 10 days of your event if no damage has occurred or additional rental items.
12. Will there be supervision during the event? Yes, we are on site during the event.
13. Can the site be used for wedding and reception? Yes, Craven Farm offers a beautiful serene setting for a wedding and reception.
14. Are there music restrictions or length of time it may be played? The music must be off in time for the band or DJ to pack and be gone by 11 p.m.
15. Are there rooms available for the bride, groom & attendants to change? Yes. we have rooms for both.
16. May hard liquor, beer, wine or champagne be served? Only beer, wine & champagne can be served, by licensed servers not affiliated with the wedding party. No hard liquor is allowed on the farm.
17. Is there adequate kitchen? Yes, and refrigeration.
18. Is there dance floor? Only the cement barn floor.
19. Are there rest room facilities? Yes.
20. Is there adequate parking? Yes.
21. Can I come and decorate the night before or earlier than 9 am? Arrangements can be made for the night before if there is no event scheduled 2 weeks prior or early admittance the day of the event. There will be an added charge of $125.00 per hour for added time.
22. Can we have a rehearsal? You are allowed 1 hour free of charge on a Monday through Thursday night.
23. What restrictions do you have on smoking? Absolutely no smoking in the barn, out side is acceptable, but please use the sand filled containers for butts.
24. Do you have ice available? Yes, we have bagged ice $2.00 a bag. If you will need a large quantity please let us know ahead of time, so we can have it ready.
25. Is there hired help available? Yes, at an hourly rate of $20.00 an hour, per person.
